New energy, also known as unconventional energy, refers to various forms of energy other than conventional energy, energy that has just begun to be developed and utilized or is being actively researched and is yet to be promoted, and is of great significance in solving the serious environmental pollution problem and the depletion of resources (especially fossil energy) in the world today.
Its various forms are directly or indirectly from the sun or the earth’s internal heat energy produced. It includes solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, hydro and ocean energy, as well as energy generated by biofuels and hydrogen derived from renewable energy sources. The development of new energy industries is both an effective means of supplementing the overall energy supply system and an important measure for environmental management and ecological protection, and is the ultimate energy option for meeting the needs of human society for sustainable development.
