A Schmitt trigger is a comparator circuit that uses potential triggering and the state is maintained by the input signal potential. It has 2 stable states, but unlike general triggers, it has hysteresis characteristics and can be used for anti-interference. The Schmitt trigger has different threshold voltages for input signals with two different directions of change, negative decreasing and positive increasing.
