In the previous article, we have gone through what Kinglight KS series LEDs are and why they can provide 5 years long warranty. Here we’ll continue to discover more features and advantages of Kinglight KS series LEDs. Let’s go dive into the details.
So, in addition to the above mentioned characteristics, as Kinglight’s flagship product, KS series LEDs, do they have other advantages? Next, let’s take a more comprehensive look at Kinglight KS flagship series LEDs.
Compared with common LED products, Kinglight KS series LEDs adopt a lower pin design, with better pin strength and higher structural tightness, so they have better sealing and mechanical properties.
Compared with common LED products, Kinglight KS series LEDs increase the PPA coverage area while ensuring that the light-emitting angle unchanged, thereby improving the contrast of the LEDs and allowing the LED display to obtain better picture levels and texture.
Kinglight KS series LEDs perform a special matte treatment on the surface ink and packaging glue, thereby effectively solving the problem of LED display reflection.
Based on the design of large-size chips and pure copper brackets with excellent heat dissipation performance, Kinglight KS series LED chips can run at a lower temperature than common LEDs, thereby reducing higher temperature caused lower brightness and wavelength (i.e., luminous color) deviation of the LED display.
Tests have shown that Kinglight KS series LEDs have higher color rendering consistency than common LEDs. As shown in below picture, common LED products have a relatively obvious range shift in color rendering, while Kinglight KS series LEDs are much more precise.
Compared with common LED products, Kinglight KS series LEDs have higher luminous brightness at the same input of forward current.
As shown in the figure, Kinglight KS series LEDs have obvious advantages in the luminous intensity of R, G, and B colors under the same forward current; and the greater the forward current, the more obvious the advantage. For example, under a forward current of 60mA, the luminous intensities of R, G, and B of Kinglight KS series LEDs can reach about 3,000, 4,000, and 1,000 nits respectively; while the luminous intensities of R, G, and B of common LEDs are only about 700, 1,700, 500 nits, much lower than the KS series LEDs.
Kinglight KS series LEDs can operate at a lower forward voltage, thereby lowering the overall energy consumption of the LED display, lowering the screen temperature and extending the service life of the LED display.
As shown in the picture, under a forward current of 40mA, the forward voltages of the three primary colors of R, G, and B of Kinglight KS series LEDs are approximately 2.2V, 3.1V, and 3.2V respectively; while the R, G, and B of common LEDs respectively have approximate 2.7V, 3.3V and 3.5V forward voltage.
In addition, we’ve also done a power consumption test between Kinglight 2727-KS4 and common 2727 LEDs. The comparison further illustrates that Kinglight KS series LEDs have great advantage in terms of luminous brightness and power consumption.
We can see from the above test data that at the same input of forward currents, Kinglight 2727-KS4 LED can not only obtain a lower forward voltage, but also have a 33% increased brightness when compared with common 2727 LED.
Meanwhile, we also used two LED display panels in both P8 pixel pitches, one built with 2727-KS4 LEDs and the other with common 2727 LEDs, for power consumption testing. As shown in the figure above, the LED display panel built with 2727-KS4 can not only achieve a higher brightness of 7500 nits, but its power consumption is also reduced by about 12% compared to the LED display panel built with the common 2727 LEDs.
Kinglight KS series LEDs, as flagship versions, are suitable for the making of high-end LEd displays for both rental service and fix installed types. They can be either LED posters, or LED signage, or LED billboards which appear in sports venues, transportation hubs, shopping malls and other densely populated places. They can widely used to serve for concerts and stages, ceremonies, celebrations and large events.
