In the past, most LED displays have complicated and heavy structures, and maintenance is only accessible from the back. But in recent years, the application of LED displays becomes wider and wider. In some occasions, it’s impossible to do the maintenance from the back, for example, on a wall mounted LED display. Thus, front service LED display is invented to allow easier access of maintenance from the front.
As described in the beginning, a front service LED display is a type of LED display designed with front access for the maintenance and repairing of the screen, so it is also called as a front maintenance LED display, or front access LED display.
A front service LED display usually appears at a location where there is less space behind the screen and it’s impossible to maintain the screen from the behind. So a front service LED display is often applied in a limited space or to save as much space as possible for special requirement.
Front service LED display comes in different designs and styles. Let’s proceed to some popular types of front service LED displays.
The LED panels are designed with magnetic features and can firmly adhere onto the metal frames or structures for installation.
Magnetic suction LED panels can be easily pulled off from the installation structure with a suction plate putting onto the surface of the LED panel. Thus, we get an easy access for maintenance or repairing from the front.
Usually, this type of LED display is usually used for indoors since magnetic suction is not that reliable in complicated outdoor environment. If you use magnetic suction LED panels outdoors, you’re facing the risk of falling LED panels hurting someone who passes by the screen.
To use front service LED display outdoors, some manufacturers develop a kind of front secured LED panel, which has small mounting holes in the edge of LED panels for screws to put in and secure LED panels from the front.
Screws offer more tight and reliable installation of LED panels. So it’s easy to understand why this type of front service LED display is often used for outdoor applications.
Some LED panels are designed as front covers for the installation frames in the back, and secured onto the frames with hinges, and can be flipped up and open for the access of front maintenance.
In some large sized front flip cover LED panels, for easy maintenance, there are also supporting structures behind the LED panels.
Flip up front service LED panels usually appear at limited space where only flipping the cover open is the best option for maintenance and repairing. The typical use of this design is on a double sided LED panel, which allows maintenance while opening each side outwards.
Front service LED displays, as said in the beginning, offers great convenience for front maintenance, and of course, some other advantages that traditional LED displays don’t have.
A front service LED display usually features with simple and neat design for front maintenance and repairing, which is much quicker and easier than traditional LED display. There is no need to get into the back of the screen. And meanwhile, reduces risk of being hurt while maintaining or repairing the LED panel.
Traditional LED displays requiring maintenance from the back need consideration of enough space for maintenance in the back while installation. But there is no need for a front service LED display.
A front service LED display occupies much less space and can be fit onto wall surface as close as possible. This greatly increases the use rate of a limited space.
Front access for maintenance and repairing is an evolution of LED displays. It not only provides convenient maintenance for LED displays but also increases the use rate of space, especially in limited spaces. Front service LED displays surely widen the application scenarios of LED displays.
