April 2025 — In a groundbreaking collaboration between Conductr, a pioneer in interactive display systems, and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the world’s first interactive outdoor LED sports court—Glow Court—has officially launched aboard the top deck of Norwegian Aqua. The project sets a new benchmark in combining immersive interactivity, motion tracking, and outdoor display engineering designed specifically for the harsh maritime environment.

Located on the ship’s uppermost deck with panoramic views of the ocean, Glow Court transforms an underutilized open space into a dynamic, high-energy arena where passengers can engage in a wide variety of physical and digital experiences. From sports-themed skill games to collaborative fitness challenges and original real-time digital gameplay, the court delivers high-impact entertainment through a seamless fusion of technology and human movement.
At the core of Glow Court is Conductr’s dual-layer motion tracking system, which captures full-body movement in real time with remarkable precision. Unlike traditional setups that require headsets, handheld devices, or body sensors, the system enables native, wearable-free interaction, allowing users to jump straight into gameplay with no onboarding or equipment.
This motion engine is paired with a custom software platform that manages real-time rendering, content switching, and dynamic feedback, making the user experience fast, responsive, and intuitive. Supporting up to 15 simultaneous players, the system adjusts dynamically to group size, movement intensity, and content type—whether it’s a solo agility test or a full team-based game.

Traditional LED tiles suffer degradation from saltwater corrosion, direct UV exposure, and constant foot traffic—factors amplified in marine environments. Conductr responded with a fully bespoke solution: impact-resistant, weatherproof, and anti-corrosive LED modules that retain high brightness and color accuracy even after prolonged outdoor use.
This marine-grade display system enables a fully interactive LED floor capable of both visual output and physical resilience. Players can run, jump, and perform complex movements on the surface, which responds with vivid visuals, haptic feedback, and immersive AR overlays that enhance realism and engagement.
