On August 22, the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association hosted two pivotal industry standards seminars at Kinglight headquarters:
The event brought together nearly 40 experts, corporate representatives, and core members of standard-setting committees across the LED display supply chain. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on key technical issues, marking an important milestone in advancing the development of these industry standards.
The MiP and COB LED Display Standards Seminar was successfully held at Kinglight HQ
At the seminar, stakeholders focused on addressing the critical challenges of MiP (Micro-in-Package) and indoor COB (Chip-on-Board) LED displays. Their proposals and insights aim to refine technical specifications and foster a more structured, standardized market environment.
Kinglight Chairman, Mr. Gong Wen, opened the seminar with a welcome speech, sharing the company’s achievements in display innovation and ongoing contributions to next-generation LED packaging technologies.
Mr. Gong Wen, Chairman of Kinglight gave a short speech at the seminar
During the first session on the Technical Specification for MiP LED Displays, the project team introduced the background, drafting principles, and core technical framework. Key discussions revolved around terminology, technical requirements, and testing methodologies—particularly on defining Micro LED and MiP packaging standards.
In the follow-up session for the Quality Grading and “Pacesetter” Evaluation Requirements for Indoor COB LED Displays, the committee presented the latest progress. This standard focuses on classification and evaluation criteria for COB LED displays, addressing an existing gap in the industry. It also aligns with China’s national “Pacesetter” policy, which promotes high-standard products, drives technical innovation, and strengthens brand competitiveness.
Consensus was reached on the next steps, with clear task assignments laid out for the project team to continue refining the standards.
As the host and active contributor to these seminars, Kinglight provided not only a platform for collaboration but also technical insights drawn from its strong R&D foundation. Kinglight’s representatives shared advancements in MiP packaging technology and manufacturing practices, offering valuable front-line perspectives for standard development.
Kinglight firmly believes that standards are the cornerstone of high-quality industry growth. By actively participating in standardization efforts, the company ensures that its innovations in LED technology are applied consistently and effectively across the market.
In recent years, Kinglight has achieved breakthrough progress in ultra-fine pixel pitch displays through MiP and other advanced packaging technologies. Its products, known for high reliability and exceptional image quality, are widely applied in indoor and outdoor displays, professional visualization, and commercial display solutions.
Guided by an innovation-driven philosophy, Kinglight is accelerating its global expansion and aspires to become a world-leading LED display solutions provider.
The successful organization of this seminar is a step forward in shaping standardized frameworks for MiP and COB LED displays. These standards will not only improve product quality but also accelerate technological innovation, market adoption, and industry upgrading.
Moving forward, Kinglight will continue to invest in R&D, contribute to the development of high-level industry standards, and collaborate with upstream and downstream partners to push the LED display sector from “following” and “catching up” to true global leadership.
